About us
The Bern branch of the Ukrainian Society in Switzerland was founded in 2014, the same year Russia launched its war against Ukraine.
Our activities focus on three main areas:
- Humanitarian aid for people in Ukraine
- Raising public awareness in Switzerland through cultural, political, and informational events
- Supporting the education of Ukrainian children by operating Ukrainian HSK/LCO schools “Ridne Slovo” in Bern (since 2022) and Thun (since 2025) https://ridneslovo.ch/
The Ukrainian Society in Switzerland is registered under the name Société Ukrainienne en Suisse at the address Case Postale 102, 1701 Fribourg. It is listed in the register of tax-exempt legal entities of the Canton of Fribourg that pursue public or charitable purposes.
